Ben Shapiro Perfectly Articulates why Conservatives Can’t Trust the Media

On February 13, 2017, retired Army Lt. General Mike Flynn announced his resignation as President Trump’s National Security Advisor over allegedly improper contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Immediately, the press went haywire!

Somewhat incredibly, the New York Times equated Flynn’s actions with Pearl Harbor and 9/11. Dan Rather said they were on par with Watergate; MSNBC’s Chuck Todd called them “a Class 5 political hurricane.” Newspaper headlines all around the country screamed about the brouhaha.

And yet, as The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro points out, the media made a huge fuss before it could even confirm whether there was a real scandal or not. To be sure, the press has run hundreds of stories about “ties” between Trump and Russia — about “connections” or “a cozy relationship.”

And yet, for every outraged cry of ‘Wolf!,’ we have yet to actually see a real one in this story; there just is no smoking gun beyond Flynn’s lack of recollection about his exact conversations — even the intelligence community so far has said there was nothing illicit promised in Flynn’s few brief calls.

Watch as Shapiro and Fox News’ Richard Fowler dissect the ridiculousness of it all and why this is such an obvious example of pure media vitriol and bias.
