Bill O’Reilly Weighs in on Sean Spicer’s Performance in the White House

Is Sean Spicer finished as White House Press Secretary? That’s the rumor going around Washington as Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Spicer’s top deputy, took over from Spicer in the wake of President Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey.

As former Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly relates in this interview clip, Spicer may not be the ideal person for the press secretary’s job. In fact, several days ago, the press secretary was accused of literally hiding in the bushes outside the White House from reporters because they insisted on pestering him with relentless questions about the Comey affair. He later came out of his hiding place and agreed to answer questions as long as he wasn’t filmed while doing so.

The story was later amended to say that Spicer was hiding “among” the bushes (the plants, as opposed to the 41st and 43rd presidents!) rather than “in” them, but by then, the damage was effectively done. Media around the globe began gleefully delving into English dictionaries to explain to readers the semantic differences between “in” and “among.”

While Bill O’Reilly has had his own costly run-ins with the media, his veteran experience gives him keen insight into Spicer’s standing in the Trump White House. Watch as O’Reilly offers his shrewd take on the matter.
