CNN Guest to Host: “How Much Crow are You Going to Have to Eat?”

CNN never lets facts stand in the way of a good story.

That’s what former Governor of New Hampshire John Sununu should know as he gives as good as he gets from CNN’s Alisyn Camerota in this unbridled clip discussing President Trump’s Russian connections (or lack thereof). Sununu, who holds a bachelor’s, master’s and Ph.D. degree from MIT, as well as serving as a former White House Chief of Staff for George H. W. Bush, should know a little something about political witch hunts and the media.

It’s ironic that Sununu has trouble with CNN because he used to be host of the nightly CNN political show Crossfire, which presented a rational and at times heated discussion of political topics from both sides of the aisle from 1982 until 2005. The first version of the show famously featured leftist former CIA agent Tom Braden and Republican former Reagan White House Director of Communications (and sometime presidential candidate) Pat Buchanan. Initially, CNN founder Ted Turner objected to both Braden’s and Buchanan’s presence on the air, but their contracts had been signed, and they threatened to sue the network, so Turner backed down.

In 2013, CNN attempted to revive Crossfire, featuring former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and political commentator S. E. Cupp on the right and former Obama Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter and CNN contributor (and former Communist) Van Jones on the left. The new version of the show lasted only a year — probably the last time the network gave any serious airtime to conservative views.

Watch as Sununu absolutely destroys the “Clinton News Network” for their biased news coverage of President Trump.
