Democrats Push for a Government Shutdown over Trump’s Wall

Politics have dramatically changed over the last several decades. With the increased media exposure, more and more politicians are no longer willing to compromise and work together. Now it is a matter of one side against the other, and if someone is unable to get what they want they simply prevent the other side from doing anything at all.

This often comes at the expense of the American tax payer. With the current administration, the border wall served as a major rallying cry for those in favor of immigration reform in the United States. President Donald Trump outlined how the border wall would reduce illegal immigration into the country, cut down on drug shipments and help minimize the number of pregnant mothers coming into the country in order to give birth. Democrats have been against the border wall and now they are willing to shut down the government to ensure Trump’s policy doesn’t become law.

In a government shutdown nobody wins. This includes the American people as it would not actually shave any money from the budget, so it wouldn’t even help reduce the national debt. Democrats assume this would humiliate the Republican senate, but the current president is different from all other previous presidents. He likely will not allow this to happen.

How exactly do Democrats shut down the government and what will Donald Trump do about the threat? You’ll have all your questions answered in the video below.
