The Democratic Party has been in a constant state of disarray since the conclusion of the most recent Presidential Election. Liberals remained high with President Obama in office but never looked towards another leader to take his place. So when it came time for the election nobody had a clear understanding or idea as to who should take up the helm as party leader. Due to Bill Clinton’s power over the party, he essentially mandated the party adopt Hillary Clinton as the leader, even though most would suggest Bernie Sanders because of his popularity. Since the complete collapse of the Hillary Clinton campaign, the party simply doesn’t know what to do.
Recently, the Democratic Party came together in Arizona in order to pick out a leader and to figure out what to do. However, the current “leader” of the party, Bernie Sanders, was in Michigan, a state Hillary Clinton completely abandoned during her campaign (and a major reason why the state, home of General Motors, Ford and some of the most powerful unions in the country voted for Trump).
