Former State Dept Employee Caught Accepting Cash, Gifts from Chinese Officials

There’s a new sheriff in town!

That’s the message that some former Obama and Bill Clinton administration officials have been getting lately, especially if they’re suspected to have engaged in illegal conduct under the auspices of Obama or Clinton staffers or those tied to prominent Democratic figures like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

One example of such an official is Candace Claiborne, who was an Office Management Specialist for the U.S. State Department starting in 1999 when former President Bill Clinton was in office. Ms. Claiborne has been charged with “obstructing an official proceeding and making false statements to the FBI — both felony offenses — for allegedly concealing numerous contacts that she had over a period of years with foreign intelligence agents,” according to a statement from the Department of Justice, now being headed by President Trump’s Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Ms. Claiborne apparently knew that two men who had been providing her and her family with “tens of thousands of dollars in gifts and benefits” over a period of five years were spies for the People’s Republic of China (PRC), but did not report this to our government as is required by law, despite her Top Secret security clearance. “Candace Claiborne is accused of violating her oath of office as a State Department employee, who was entrusted with Top Secret information when she purposefully misled federal investigators about her significant and repeated interactions with foreign contacts,” said FBI Assistant Director Andrew Vale.

Claiborne had served at U.S. consulates and embassies in Iraq, Sudan and China during her State Department tenure and had money wired by PRC officials directly into her USAA account as well as receiving meals, electronics, vacations, rent for her apartment and a regular monthly stipend. Claiborne faces 25 years in prison if she’s convicted. It’s quite possible that other Obama and/or Clinton officials may follow in her footsteps if investigations continue.

Watch as this report exposes the dirt.
