The recent terror attacks in Manchester has rocked not only the United Kingdom but the rest of the free world. The attacks took place during a concert, when people should be able to enjoy the music and have a fun time with different people from other walks of life who also enjoy the same music.
Concerts, and music in general, is designed to bring people together. It doesn’t matter race or religion or income level. It doesn’t matter what side of the street someone lives on or what school they go to. Music can and should be enjoyed by everyone. It is what brought tens of thousands of people to the concert, before it was rocked by a terrorist suicide bomber, who decided to take something so innocent and pure and turn it into a sickening display of hatred.
With people out there who want to prevent the rest of the world from living in peace, how can terrorist attacks like these be stopped? Reports have indicated security was lax, and the suicide bomber detonated a device with metallic shrapnel to cause maximum damage. So the first step is obviously an improvement in security. But what else can and should be done to make sure people who want to live life in peace can continue to do so? Watch the video to hear from a former Marine bomb technician and FBI agent to learn their thoughts.
