Impeachment Charges Introduced Against President

The Democrats have taken their Trump Derangement Syndrome to new heights by filing Articles of Impeachment against the president. Never mind the fact that there is no evidence of the president committing any High Crimes or Misdemeanors, or the fact that he is not even accused of committing a crime.

That’s right. As retired Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz has pointed out, even if Donald Trump had colluded with Vladimir Putin somehow, it would not be a crime. There is no federal statute that prohibits a candidate from “colluding” with a foreign power (“to collude” simply means to come to a secret agreement).

Hillary Clinton, for example, colluded with Fusion GPS which employed a former foreign spy — a British citizen — to create the fake Trump-Russian dossier. That was not a crime. When she did not report the $12 million that she paid to Fusion GPS with the DNC, well, that was a crime. Candidate Donald Trump likewise “colluded” with Brexit leader Nigel Farage — another British citizen — who spoke at a campaign rally in 2016. Again, that was not a crime.

The Democrats are grasping at straws at this point as their narrative collapses. However, they might have something more sinister in mind and could in fact be laying the groundwork for a plot against the president down the road.

Watch the video below for Stuart Varney’s take on what the left might be up to when filing these groundless Articles of Impeachment against President Trump.
