MLB Legend Teaches Internet Trolls a Lesson

Curt Schilling has been a lightning rod commentator and baseball analyst ever since retiring from the MLB as a pitcher. He has never shied away from speaking his mind, which includes politics. Schilling is a Republican who criticized President Obama and supported Donald Trump, so naturally he was opened attacked.

Mr. Schilling has always been a good sport about the comments tossed back at him. After all, he’s a professional athlete who is accustomed to being heckled by people around the country. The real problem though started with an innocent tweet about his daughter.

Beyond being one of the all-time great pitchers in Major League Baseball, Curt is also a father. His daughter, 17, is also a pitcher for her high school’s softball team. Recently, she received an offer to continue her pitching career into college. As any proud father would, he congratulated her and even posted a proud tweet about the accomplishment of his daughter. This is when the Twitter trolls came out of their caves.

Twitter, unlike most other forms of social media, allows people to hide behind egg icons and fake names, so it is not possible to link comments back to them personally. This gives cowards near immunity for what they say. However, the sexually charged comments directed at Schilling’s 17 year old daughter proved too much. What did he do next? Check out the video to find out.
