One of the most important principles guiding the Department of Justice is their requirement to be unbiased. The law isn’t supposed to care about whether you are a Democrat or a Republican; it’s only supposed to care about justice.
However, this key requirement of the DOJ hasn’t seemed to be much of a concern to special counsel Robert Mueller, who has made the decision to hire almost exclusively left-leaning investigators to the team assigned to investigate Donald Trump’s campaign and his ties to Russia. His latest head-scratching hire that has been made public is that of Democratic donor Aaron Zelinsky.
These people that Mueller is staffing his team with are more than just people who happen to lean left. They are individuals who are entrenched within the Democratic Party, people who have devoted their lives and their income to keeping Democrats in power. To say that they don’t carry any of this bias with them when they are investigating Trump or that their being hired is a mere coincidence would be nonsensical.
The reality is that the Russian collusion investigation has been a political hit job since day one, and it has been staffed with investigators who are willing to do whatever it takes to get Trump out of office. The only good news is that their plans have been seen through by the American public, and their obvious bias has caused them much more harm than good.
