Obamacare Crushing Middle Class American Families

As the GOP continues debating the details of how to repeal and replace the disastrous Affordable Care Act, AKA “Obamacare,” Americans continue to lose ground in the struggle to survive under the health care law that has made health care more expensive than ever for millions of hard-working people.

The ACA basically amounts to a tax that is leveraged against middle-class American wage earners who earn too much to qualify for Welfare. First, it started with a mandate- a grossly u-American idea that we would have no choice but to buy into the program or face harsh penalties. Then Obama started breaking promises, like the promise that you could keep your favorite doctor and that you could stay on your plan.

While many working people find it more affordable to pay the fine rather than submit to the costs inherent to the program- some people are no longer able to make ends meet or even access health care using the government mandated insurance. Many employers have had to shut their doors or lay people off in order to compensate for the cost of the program, and many of those displaced employees end up on Welfare- an irony that has certainly been lost on the tone-deaf Democratic Party.

As Trump pushes to repeal and replace this damaging mandate, politicians on both sides stall for time, throw up roadblocks, and do whatever they can to prevent the President from following through on one of his most significant campaign promises.
