Obama’s Department of Justice is Out of Control

In the last year, the Denver County Sheriff’s office has been hiring more than 200 new deputies. Along the way, it imposed a requirement that all job applicants must be U.S. citizens. Makes sense, doesn’t it, especially if one of the tasks of the Sheriff’s office is to deal with illegal immigrant offenders?

But apparently, the administration of Barack Obama didn’t take too kindly to this requirement, and they fined the Sheriff’s office $10,000 for this theoretically offensive policy. Instead, the Obama administration would like to see non-citizens working in the Sheriff’s office as part of their grander policies of globalism and bringing police departments in line with standards of the United Nations.

Not only did the government impose the fine, but they’re now obligating the Sheriff’s office to go back through all of the rejected job applications and contact immigrants who may have been excluded due to the original regulation.

“Eliminating this unlawful citizenship requirement will help ensure that the Denver Sheriff Department hires the best and most qualified individuals to protect and serve,” Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Vanita Gupta at the Department of Justice said. “The entire community will benefit from these reforms.”

This outrageous policy has conservatives up in arms; local police departments should be able to create and enforce their own policies. One can only hope that when Donald Trump takes office as president, this ruling will be instantaneously reversed.
