New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) screeched from her soapbox that bartenders and waitstaff are “indentured servants” because they only earn $2.13 per hour. Truth be told, they earn that plus tips, and the law states they must make at least the state’s minimum wage.
Of course, no one expects these radical Democrats to tell the truth. Crazy Bernie Sanders, who wants to take away private health care, and Massachusetts elite Elizabeth Warren also claim that massive corporations are underpaying wages.
But the exact opposite appears true. Huge companies such as Walmart, Amazon, and Target want the feds to raise the rate to get rid of small business competition. Left-wing politicians take money from these and other special interests and do their bidding in the D.C. Swamp. They’re coming for your small business by hamstringing your ability to pay employees.

So I was a legal secretary (taking shorthand), and an oil and gas tech, an employee with “skills” and training, not making $15/hour and you think someone working in McDonalds should make more money than us??!!! They said that this would bring the poor out of poverty, what about seniors and veterans that live in poverty. It would take a 20 percent increase to bring this group out of poverty. Most countries require that after high school that all males go into the military. If I were in a position such as a technician I would not train any illegal to take my job and if that happened to me I would sue the company I was working for or tell all the techs to tell the company to put the unqualified people in school at their own expense so that they could be trained. Or they could all just walk off the job in relation and see how long the company would be begging the employees to return to work. No employees making parts no revenue for the company ? ? ?.
All $15 is going to do is cause unemployment especially with school kids who have after school jobs. All the dems want to do is close small businesses after all they don’t want people working anyway
