Senator Tim Scott Reads Racist Tweets over his Support of Jeff Sessions

Racism, sadly, is still an issue in this country. It is not unique to the United States, or any one particular region over the next. Looking down on someone or judging someone because of their race continues to occur around the world.

However, in the U.S., most liberals believe they are immune to the issue, they think because they are called ‘progressives’ they cannot also be racist. Somehow they’ve attached the word ‘tolerant’ to their party’s name, when in fact nothing could be farther from the truth.

The fact of the matter is racism isn’t something that belongs solely to one party rather than the other. Democrats would do well to take a step back and, instead of constantly pointing fingers at Republicans, to look at themselves and their own party for the racism that occurs within itself.

To illustrate this very point, Senator Tim Scott, a black Republican from South Carolina, recently took to the Senate floor to address the idea that the left is somehow more tolerant than the right.

Many on the liberal left wanted to condemn Senator Jeff Sessions and block him from becoming the next Attorney General due to someone alleging he said racist comments in his past. To his credit Senator Sessions has always denied the allegations and has made it a point in his professional career to act without regard to color, religion or gender.

To show that the left is not as tolerant as they tell everyone they are,  Senator Scott took to floor of Congress to read some of the vile, racist tweets he had received from Democrats because he supported Senator Sessions confirmation as AG. What did these tweets say? Check out the video to hear Scott read these tweets.
