South Africa Votes to Seize the Land of White Farmers without Compensation

There’s a famous quote that says “democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.” Though South Africa is far from a pure democracy, the country’s latest vote is the perfect example of the democratic process gone horribly wrong.

Thanks to voters in South Africa, the South African government can now legally seize the land of white farmers without providing them with any compensation. This horrific law actually now exists as part of South Africa’s constitution.

Concerning America’s role in this terrible turn of events, the United States has continued to provide mass amounts of taxpayer-funded aid to the government of South Africa. In addition to this, the current events in South Africa provide a frightening model of what happens when the identity politics that is championed by the Left is taken to its logical extreme.

Following the backlash from foreign countries when Trump decided to move the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, the President remarked that maybe it was time we stopped sending large amounts of aid to foreign countries that refuse to support American values. Given South Africa’s hatred towards its white citizens, their lack of support for American values could not be any more evident, and it’s past time we stopped funding their horrific actions.
