Student from Parkland HS Shooting Identifies How to Stop Future Mass Shootings

Following the horrific school shooting that took place at Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, it took only moments for the media and liberal politicians to begin politicizing this tragedy in an attempt to reignite the gun control debate. However, one Parkland, FL student has an excellent solution for stopping mass shootings – and it has nothing to do with more gun laws.

Colton Haab, a Douglas High School student and JROTC member who heroically ushered over 90 students to safety and shielded them with kevlar sheets, appeared on Fox News recently to discuss what happened. In addition to describing his account of the horrific shooting and the actions he took to save lives, Colton also offered up a solution that could help save students’ lives – allowing teachers and school officials to carry a concealed weapon on campus.

It’s important to keep in mind that one teacher who was present at the shooting was a former security expert named Aaron Feis. When the first shots rang out Coach Feis ran into harm’s way to help shield a group of students from the bullets that were flying toward them and later died from the injuries he endured. Had this teacher been able to carry the weapon he normally has on him, though, the entire situation could have ended very differently.
