A cage by any other name is still a cage unless Joe Biden is locking unaccompanied migrant children in them. As this video dissection of White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki’s nonsensical answer demonstrates, they’re only cages if former President Donald J. Trump or a Republican uses them.
Psaki is amassing more embarrassing standoffs with the conservative media than any press secretary in the modern age. Her gibberish has been called “word salad,” and some call her “circle back Jen” because she continually deflects tough policy questions. But when a member of the White House press corps inquiries about migrant children being placed in the same facilities built under Obama and used during the Trump Administration, she’s crystal clear in her non-answer.
To Psaki, her Democrat boss is not following the same policy as the previous administration. That’s largely because the same facility with the same fencing is now an “overflow camp.” Would she have us believe they are singing songs around the campfire and roasting marshmallows?
What’s particularly troubling is the fact that Democrats such as Kamala Harris and AOC called the facility being used by Biden “jail cells” and “concentration camps.” A cage by any other name is summer camp if a Democrat locks you inside. It remains that illegal aliens are in fact foreign nationals that broke the immigration laws of the USA. Foreign nationals that break our laws are entitled to being held in custody, treated in a humanitarian manner including food, water and basic health care until they can be deported across the same border that they illegally entered our country. The thought that they have to be sent back to their country of origin abdicates the country from which they illegally entered of their responsibility to protect their own borders. Further, illegal foriegn nationals are not entitled to any of the privileges of citizens. Such privileges they do not qualify for are Social Security, Covid relief money, drivers licenses, the vote, etc. Foreign nationals that enter our country illegally are by our Constitution and laws criminals. As a charitable nation we should and do provide humanitarian treatment until we can as quickly as possible deport them.
