Whoops! CNN Report Shows Conservatives Continue to Support Trump

Now you can hear it straight from voters’ mouths. CNN recently brought five Republicans to a diner in Clifton, New Jersey to ask them what they thought about President Trump’s achievements so far and what they thought was his biggest one. Their answers may surprise you!

Of course, predictably, health care came up — specifically, the failed attempt to repeal and replacement of Obamacare. But one has to understand, the president tried as hard as he could to get the necessary votes to make it happen. First, there was the ill-fated American Health Care Act (AHCA), which passed the House but not the Senate. Then, the bill was going to be remade as the Better Care Reconciliation Act, but this didn’t come to pass. Finally, there was an attempt at a “skinny repeal” of Obamacare, which was designed as a pure repeal of the failed program without a replacement, but this eventually failed as well.

Throughout these efforts, Trump attempted multiple times to pull both conservatives and non-conservatives together. He corralled as many Congresspeople as he could to his positions. But at the end of the day, Arizona Senator John McCain served as the main spoiler to what would have been a major legislative win of the Trump administration so far.

Still, as these citizens discuss, the president has a number of other victories he can justifiably be proud of. Watch as several take turns talking about them for the cameras.
