How crazy is this?
A new report from Harris Polling says that an astounding 78 percent of full-time workers in the U.S. live paycheck to paycheck. That means few Americans can afford an emergency room visit, unexpected repairs to their car or house, or an unexpected disaster or crisis. While the majority of Americans (about 69 percent) believe the U.S. economy is in good shape under President Trump, many of these people have yet to benefit from the growing strength of that economy.
As the gang on Fox’s Outnumbered discuss in this concerning clip, the costs of everyday items from food to housing to energy keep rising, and many people are already tens of thousands of dollars in debt from credit card expenditures, auto purchases and school loans. The amounts people are putting into their savings are at near-record lows, and future health care expenses and retirement costs are an enormous worry for citizens and political leaders alike.
In the last three decades, America has seen much of its middle class hollowed out by globalism, as a new “hourglass economy” has emerged whereby there are just two big bubbles at the bottom and the top, without much that used to be in between. In order for things to change, the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) agenda has to move ahead with full steam, and that includes new jobs, better wages and tax reform, both at an individual and small business level.
Watch as the Outnumbered anchors talk about the gut-wrenching numbers.
