Democrats Admit their Drawing out of Gorsuch Nomination was Bad for SCOTUS, American People

It’s typical Democratic hypocrisy to make an accusation over an issue, but when the tables are turned, to blurt out, “Who, me?” So, of course, it should come as no surprise that prominent Democrats who have complained for the past year about the Supreme Court going without nine justices are the same ones who are tried to deny the appointment of the person most qualified for the job, Trump administration nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch.

For the last three weeks, we’ve seen Democrats shuffle from one strategy to the next as far as resisting Gorsuch’s confirmation; first, they complained that Gorsuch was too pro-business. Then, they said that Gorsuch was too allied to President Trump. Finally, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved Gorsuch in a decision split on party lines, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was forced to use the “nuclear option” to get Gorsuch approved for the Supreme Court.

The so-called “nuclear option” nullified the power of Democrats to hold up Gorsuch’s confirmation any longer via use of a filibuster. But Democrats worry that a one-time elimination of the filibuster could lead to repeat instances, in which case the Senate would become nearly identical to the House in terms of how it operates.

Perhaps these Democrats should have thought about that before the confirmation process, because at this point, they appear to be grasping at whatever straws they can find for to rest voting control away from Republicans and President Trump. Watch as Erin Burnett of CNN points out the Democrats’ lack of credibility and integrity on this important matter.
