Here’s proof that Democrats feel no urgency. Hundreds of thousands of American workers aren’t getting paychecks, but the Democrats don’t even feel the need to be in Washington. Trump and the Republicans have remained available to negotiate a deal, but the Democrats took a vacation to Puerto Rico.
Sure, they claimed that it was to assess hurricane damage, but when you look at the details of the trip, you can see it was just a getaway. And, it was a getaway that is extending the shutdown.
