Kathy Griffin Rescinds Apology for Trump Beheading Photo

Is it just a publicity stunt?

In May of this year, fruit loop comedienne Kathy Griffin got a huge amount of negative press after being shown holding up a fake bloody severed head of President Trump.

Now, she’s back on television proclaiming that after all the fuss over her original video, that she’s “not sorry” for putting out that inappropriate image. This is after doing myriad interviews and media mea culpas in which she apologized over and over again for going “too far” with her unfunny act.

As hosts Samantha Armytage and David Koch of Australia’s Sunrise Live morning television program ask, is there no shame for what Griffin did? At the time the video was first publicized, Griffin took flak from everyone from Chelsea Clinton to Democratic Senators Al Franken and Catherine Masto to CNN’s Anderson Cooper, the latter of whom called her out in the press for her poor taste and offensive behavior.

Reportedly, the president’s son Barron saw the image when he was watching TV at home and was horrified. First Lady Melania Trump released a statement reading, “As a mother, a wife, and a human being, that image is very disturbing. When you consider some of the atrocities happening in the world today, a photo opportunity like this is simply wrong and makes you wonder about the mental health of the person who did it.”

Melania is absolutely correct — we’re still wondering what she was thinking! Watch, as Griffin rescinds her apology and chastised anyone who disagrees with her.
