Russian Trolls Bought Facebook Ads to Promote BLM

Russian collusion! It’s everywhere!

That’s the claim that YouTube’s Mark Dice makes in this amusing clip showing how mainstream outlets like CNN can’t resist crowing about interference from Vladimir Putin’s government every chance they get. But as Dice shows, in at least one case, that interference was actually on the side of the Left, not the Right!

Yes, that’s correct — Russia actually created a fake Facebook group to hype up social justice organization Black Lives Matter (BLM)! The fake group’s page got so popular, in fact, that the number of its followers eclipsed those of the real BLM within the span of a year. Acting as provocateur, the page promoted rioting in Baltimore, Maryland and Ferguson, Missouri — the sites of police actions that gave rise to groups like BLM in the first place.

As Dice points out, BLM is heavily funded by outside entities including billionaire George Soros, who donated at least $33 million to the group, and by foreign concerns and governments, not the least of which was Russia.

Of course, when Russia is caught messing with Leftist causes, the media is quick to accuse it of sowing division in the American cultural landscape, but when it comes to BLM itself, the group gets a free pass from many of those same news organizations.

Watch, as Dice explores this story and proves that you can’t always judge a Leftist playbook by its coverage.
