The Future of Sanctuary Cities in America

One of the tent pole campaign promises Donald Trump made to the American people while running was to implement new immigration laws and standards. He also promised to follow through with current immigration laws past presidents have not been willing to enforce.

Locating and removing all illegal immigrants from the country is a difficult task. The vast majority of illegal immigrants stay out of the way and live as law abiding citizens. Some, however, commit crimes of all natures. These individuals are in police custody and should be deported as not only are they in the country illegally but they are now committing crimes against American citizens.

Most Americans want illegal immigrants who commit crimes inside the United States to be deported immediately. Despite this, there are locations around the nation known as “Sanctuary Cities.”

These sanctuary cities accept illegal immigrants who commit crimes more or less for the same reason: population growth. While mayors and politicians from these different cities like to pretend it is for a high and mighty reason, it ultimately is because of the additional number of immigrants who will move to the city.

A large number of these sanctuary cities have stated publicly they will not have their police forces turn illegal immigrants to federal agents for deportation despite the fact they are committing crimes. In order to prevent cities from harboring illegal immigrants, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced actions against these cities. What are the actions? Watch the video to find out.
