There’s a New Sherriff in Town: Gen. John Kelly

To say the Chief of Staff position under the Trump Administration has had a rocky start would be putting it mildly. Sean Spicer took the position initially as President Trump took office, but after just a few months on the job decided to step down. Anthony Sacaramucci then took over the position and seemed to have a considerable amount of swagger, yet he didn’t last two weeks. During which his wife filed for divorce and he gave a tell-all interview to a newspaper, which reportedly angered President Trump. So now, President Trump has moved on to his third Chief of Staff in eight months in John Kelly.

John Kelly has a bit more command than the last two individuals to hold the position. As a General, John Kelly knows what it takes to rouse support from those around him, make difficult decisions and also command attention. All of these traits are important for the Chief of Staff position and should help him succeed.

It is important for General John Kelly to last in this position in order to develop a sense of continuity. It hopefully can help with some of the information leaks and other problems going on between the press and the White House. But will he actually end up lasting longer in the position? Watch the debate unfold in the video below.
