Why Democrats are Failing to Raise any Money Nationally

What’s wrong with the Democratic National Committee (DNC)?

In July, the main political organ of the Democrats only raised a paltry amount compared to the takings of the Republican National Committee (RNC). This goes to show that Democrats today don’t have a whole lot of confidence in their party’s leadership. Top Democratic bosses like Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton and even former President Obama have divided the party of the Left, and many of its constituents think that younger leadership is needed, even if that means promoting faces that are less well-known.

Of course, it doesn’t help when party stalwarts like former DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz are accused of wrongdoing or when current DNC chief Tom Perez is criticized for having a foul mouth.

Polls show that there’s a perception among the public that the Democrats have drifted further to the Left than they were when Socialist Bernie Sanders was capturing the media’s attention in the first half of 2016. As Fox’s Jessica Tarlov confirms, this move by the Party to cater to “fringe elements” doesn’t play well for its future or for its fundraising efforts.

The Democrats’ attempts to get a new platform (“A Better Deal”) off the ground appear to be faltering amid continued efforts to try to take down President Trump and keep propping up the tired non-story of Russian collusion with his campaign. For all practical purposes, the Democrats appear lost, confused and unsure of where to head next, despite the record-low favorability ratings of the current Republican president. While there would seem to be a lot of opportunities to capitalize on recent missteps of conservatives — such as the failure to replace Obamacare — liberals appear to be doing nothing but fumbling the ball when it’s in their court. Watch as the gang on Fox’s Outnumbered debate the present state of Democratic affairs.
