California Café Bans Cops for ‘Customer Safety’

A coffee shop in Oakland, California has taken the leftist view of law enforcement to an extreme, posting on their social media accounts that they will refuse to serve police officers who are in uniform because it compromises “customer safety”. They went on to explain that the presence of police officers harms their customers’ sense of emotional well-being and physical safety.

The lunacy in this statement goes without saying. Any rational human being would be comforted by the presence of a police officer, knowing that if the situation took a turn for the worst that there is someone there who is armed, trained, and sworn to protect the public. Unless this coffee shop caters to career criminals, there is zero reason to believe that the presence of police officers would make their customers feel unsafe.

This decision, though, is just the leftist view on law enforcement taken to its logical extreme. The idea that police officers are out there harassing and harming law-abiding citizens is a dangerous and untrue narrative that leads to moronic decisions such as the one made by this Oakland coffee shop.

One can only hope that the backlash against this coffee shop and their ridiculous discrimination is swift and extreme. For more information on what this coffee shop has done so far to local police officers as well as the name of the coffee shop, be sure to check out the video below.
