Chevy Chase Talks about SNL’s Liberal Agenda

What a surprise!

Is it really true that many of America’s most popular entertainers use their own political leanings for source material in their acts or in the shows — such as Saturday Night Live — that they regularly appear in? Well, according to Saturday Night Live alumnus Chevy Chase, this is exactly what he did in the 1970s, and based on what he says in this clip, the same shenanigans are still going on today in SNL shows featuring personalities like Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin.

Another perennial liberal hero is David Letterman’s replacement Stephen Colbert, who recently capped his 15th consecutive weekly ratings win for his CBS show over NBC archival The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. In fact, both of these late-night programs love to use the Trump administration as comedic cannon fodder, so much so that they might as well be paying Trump and his cabinet royalties, given how much time they spend talking about them. While the most recent political news is always good material for late-night comedy shows, the heavy-duty emphasis these clowns (especially Colbert) place on the current president is out-of-line compared to previous hosts and broadcasting eras.

However, if the president’s favorability numbers rise (which they’re likely to over time), this tendency may become less of a laughing matter if entertainers such as these continue to poke fun at our current commander-in-chief. Ultimately, as with much of the mainstream media, the joke could turn out to be on them in the long run. Watch as YouTube media critic Mark Dice exposes these celebs for the liberals they really are.
