Defending Freedom

When describing freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of choice, or really anything else connected with freedom in the United States, what would you say? However you decide to indicate what you believe freedom stands for, the word “cute” probably never even popped into your head.

Why? Because freedom isn’t a picture of a puppy. Freedom is something real and tangible that people have died over. That’s why when a leftist moron made a comment about the idea of freedom being “cute,” it triggered a conservative panelist who went off on him for his controversial comments.

During an open discussion on the KTTH debate regarding religious freedom, the topic of turning down someone based on their religion came up. The example used revolved around someone of the Jewish faith wanting a florist to prepare something for them and the florist turned them down because they did not feel comfortable based on their own religious beliefs.

The radical left individual stated they should be forced to go against their religious beliefs and offer services to the customer. However, the conservative member of the debate stated this should not be the case and that if they want to give up business and potentially go out of business, that is their own decision.

The radical left stated this freedom is a “cute” notion. There is nothing cute about this notion and the conservative goes off on him, indicating that capitalism doesn’t care what religion or color of skin you are. It is simply the company that provides better services and products and there is nothing “cute” about it.
