Should any of us be surprised? There are now new revelations that the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server in 2015 and 2016 never had any teeth. Was this because of the all-too-cozy relationship between former FBI Director James Comey (who previously worked for Clinton Foundation-connected bank HSBC) and Bill and Hillary Clinton? Already, it’s come out that Comey had taken dubious orders from former Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who had directed Comey not to label the FBI’s look at Clinton’s server “an investigation” — telling him to call it a “matter” instead.
But the fact that the FBI later closed the case, despite damning proof of purposely destroyed smartphones (smashed with a hammer no less), “bleach”-erased hard drives and deleted emails seems to indicate that the agency was supposedly OK with being stonewalled by Clinton’s lawyers and supplied with only partial (at best) evidence.
As The Next News Network’s Gary Franchi relates, it may be time for Trump administration officials in the Department of Justice or new Trump FBI Director nominee Christopher Wray to take a closer look — via auditing or Congressional testimony — at the Comey-era investigation (or lack thereof) into Clinton. Watch as Franchi elaborates on the matter.
