Immigration laws, policy and attempts at reforming the system have drawn passionate activism across the United States and abroad. Numerous liberal Hollywood celebrities have entered the political arena and are protesting the separation of children and parents at America’s southern border.
But one pop culture icon is suffering a social media backlash after her seemingly anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement warning was deemed “racist” by her liberal comrades.
News of Amber Heard’s so-called “racist” tweet is exposed for being both false and showing her worldview about the place of immigrants in the United States.
A native Texan living in Los Angeles, Heard is an A-list star who has earned praise for her recent roles in the “Justice League” franchise. The 32-year-old starlit — who was briefly married to Johnny Depp until 2017 — isn’t being praised for her fake tweet about ICE setting up an illegal immigration check point in Hollywood, of all places.
The false warning to illegal immigrants and open borders advocates was something of an epic fail after ICE clapped back at the actress by revealing the law enforcement agency does not set up checkpoints, anywhere. But the backlash against Heard is not due to the egg on her face about an erroneous tweet.
