Why do they hate the idea of tax cuts, pay raises and a stronger economy?
For most of them, it’s a simple matter of opposing Trump no matter what. He is antithetical to everything they claim to believe, so the idea that anything he proposes could be good for the country is absolutely abhorrent to them.
The more educated among the left in power hate the tax cuts for a more sinister reason. Economic success will hurt their political position. If the poor aren’t dependent on liberal handouts, what else can the left offer for votes? They’ve already proven their willingness to try and buy political power any way they can.
