Government Shutdown Shows Private is Better

It appears the government shutdown may not pay the dividends that U.S. House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had hoped. In fact, everyday Americans are swiftly learning that during the longest shutdown in the country’s history, not much has really changed.

If you listen to the media pundits, the partial government shutdown has thrust the country into a full-blown crisis that will have catastrophic effects. From the liberal point of view, the world just cannot function without big government. Yet, the sun rises. The sun falls, and people go about their daily routines.

In this exclusive video, reporter John Stossel delves into some hard realities about this and past shutdowns that are not helping Democrats’ case to even re-open the government. The investigative journalist pulls out sound bites from the left-leaning news media during an Obama-era shutdown and compares them to the one happening right now to secure the southern border, stop the flood of violent criminals, drugs and illegal immigrants stealing American jobs.

The truth about the current shutdown and past ones may lead taxpayers to come to a very different conclusion than Pelosi, Schumer, and the biased fake news media would like. Although liberals want you to believe the country is in the midst of an existential meltdown, nothing could be further from the truth.

Listen to what John Stossel has discovered and decide for yourself after watching this groundbreaking video.
