GQ Magazine Names Colin Kaepernick ‘Citizen of the Year’

GQ magazine’s editors must have looked at ESPN and the NFL’s record-breaking loss of viewers over the past year and said, “Let’s try that!” How else could you explain GQ’s decision to name Colin Kaepernick “Citizen of the Year?”

Kaepernick’s “take a knee” temper tantrum has caused the NFL’s double headers to lose 23 percent of viewers over a year ago and Sunday Night Football is down 22 percent. Apparently GQ didn’t get the memo that Americans despise the sheer disrespect that multimillionaire athletes are showing to our flag, the troops, the police, the US Constitution and common decency.

GQ’s total sellout to the SJW false narrative probably shouldn’t surprise us, though. Previous GQ awards and cover stories have gone to “Man of the Year” Bill Clinton, the “Funniest Man Alive” Louis CK, “Movie Mogul of the Year” Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey. So Kaepernick is in good company.

The “Citizen of the Year Award” for Kaepernick is a nice reminder that citizenship is simply paperwork and has nothing to do with being an actual American. It’s probably too much to hope for President Trump to revoke Kaepernick’s citizenship and deport him to his beloved Cuba.
