A lot of people on the left are saying the Donald Trump is now ignoring the migrant caravan because he’s no longer trying to sway elections. That’s an outright lie. There are actually two things going on here. First is that mainstream media is ignoring the caravan more than ever. Since the election is over, they don’t need to harp quite so incessantly on how racist all Republicans are. They can save some ammo for later.
The second issue is that Trump has already dealt with the caravan. He dispatched the resources necessary to defend the border. He was happy to leave it at that. It was only the insistence of Jim Acosta and his peers that continued to bring the conversation back to migrants. It was their political tactic, not Trump’s.
This is all just another political play from the left. They have weaponized a caravan of illegal immigrants in order to try and vilify their political opponents. It’s the same thing they’ve been doing for decades, and to the shame of our entire country, people still fall for it.
