If the last two years have taught us anything, it’s to dream for a single, impossible wish. If the Democrats would leverage just one tenth as much scrutiny at their own people as they do Donald Trump, our country would probably surpass all expectations even when the Democrats are in charge. Seriously. Had Obama been held to any standard of accountability whatsoever, he couldn’t have done half the damage he did to our country.
We could say the same about Bill Clinton. That was a President who actually bombed another country just to take the spotlight away from his own impending impeachment. That’s a thing that really happened, and he hasn’t faced a war criminal tribunal. In fact, no major news outlet even hinted at the idea that he was in the wrong to kill innocent civilians over political optics. It’s disgusting beyond words.
Conversely, Donald Trump was skewered when a flight crew decided not to fly Marine One in the rain. It wasn’t Trump’s decision, but apparently deferring to the expertise of professional pilots is an act of cowardice, hypocrisy and treason.
We don’t need the left to hold their own to the same standards they hold Republicans. We just need them to be playing the same game. Instead, it is their boundless hypocrisy that threatens the future of our great nation.
