The Real Reason Tom Hanks Attacked President Trump

Fox News host and radio personality Laura Ingraham recently took aim at actor Tom Hanks for his dig at President Donald Trump during his interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR). In this video, she also explains how the timing of Hank’s comments reveals the real reason for them.

When asked if he would want his upcoming movie to be screened in the White House Hanks responded, “I don’t think I would.” He elaborated that he knew he wouldn’t because last November he never could have imagined how bad the Trump’s presidency would be.

Ingraham said the main reason that Hanks took aim at Trump didn’t have anything to do with his political convictions.

Hanks’ latest movie relates the story of the top-secret Pentagon Paper as reported by The Washington Post. In his interview, Hanks likened Trump’s handling of the news media with the way Richard Nixon abused the First Amendment. The actor added:

You may think: ‘You know what? I think now is the time.’ This is the moment where, in some ways, our personal choices are going to have to reflect our opinions. We have to start voting, actually, before the election.

Ingraham doubts that Hanks will have to make a decision about visiting the White House as Trump is unlikely to offer that opportunity.  Watch the video as Ingraham indicates the real reason that Tom Hanks voiced his displeasure with Trump.
