Are you burning out yet? Have you had enough of politics? In the past, election cycles were so much shorter. Without 24/7 access to information, only truly important stories made the headlines. These days, there’s not enough real news to fill the time. That leads to excessive coverage and burnout.
Not too long ago, an entire midterm election was a small story. The nightly news would let you know who won, and that was about the end of it. Today, we’re seeing counts, recounts, accusations and all manner of circus acts. A full week after the election, several races still weren’t determined.
What’s worse is that the race for 2020 is already being covered. It’s a long way off and you’re already seeing speculations about who will run and why you shouldn’t vote for them. If it doesn’t exhaust you, then you’re some kind of super human. For the rest of us, some kind of break would be amazing. We need something to ease the stress of endless politics.
