NYC’s First Lady Celebrated Terrorists. The Media That Destroyed Alito Over a Flag Has Nothing to Say.

Martha-Ann Alito flew a flag upside down outside her house. The New York Times put it on the front page twice. Democrats demanded Justice Alito recuse himself. The story ran for a week.

Now meet Rama Duwaji — wife of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the city’s new First Lady.

On her Tumblr account, she posted a photo of Leila Khaled — a member of the PFLP, a State Department-designated terrorist organization — with the caption: ‘If it does good for my cause, I’ll be happy to accept death.’

She celebrated the First Intifada. She glorified the PFLP. And on October 7, 2023 — the day Hamas murdered 1,200 Israelis — she liked posts celebrating the attack, liked posts supporting Hamas street protests, and liked posts calling reports of Hamas rapes a hoax.

When a reporter asked Mayor Mamdani about it, he called her ‘a private person.’

Martha-Ann Alito flew a flag. Rama Duwaji liked posts cheering a massacre. One was front-page news. The other gets ‘she’s a private person.’

CNN’s Scott Jennings warned Democrats last year: Mamdani winning would be ‘terrible for the party in the long run.’ He said ‘you all own this now.’

The same media figures who ran the Alito flag story for a week are now upset that anyone is covering this at all. Ben Rhodes and Taylor Lorenz both complained publicly that CBS News had the nerve to report on it.

The rules are simple. If your spouse is conservative, their private life is the public’s business. If your spouse celebrated terrorism, she deserves privacy.

The posts are real. The likes are documented. The double standard is the whole story.
