Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin apparently decided that "peace activism" now includes putting your hands on a sitting congresswoman — and she was dumb enough to do it on camera. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna announced she's filing charges against Benjamin after video surfaced showing the far-left agitator making physical contact with the Florida Republican.
Because nothing says "we're the tolerant ones" like assaulting a woman in broad daylight while someone's phone is rolling.
Here's the beautiful part. Benjamin actually admitted to "tapping" Luna but then accused the congresswoman of lying about it being an assault. That's a heck of a legal strategy right there. "Yes, Your Honor, I touched her, but she's a liar for calling it touching." Somebody get this woman a better lawyer.
The video below shows exactly what happened.
Let's talk about the irony for a second, because it's absolutely delicious. Code Pink bills itself as a "peace" organization. They've spent decades screeching about violence, militarism, and aggression. Their entire brand is being the anti-war, anti-conflict, holier-than-thou crowd. And their co-founder just caught a charge for allegedly assaulting a female member of Congress.
You can't make this stuff up. We've been saying for years that these people are the real aggressors. They show up to hearings, they disrupt proceedings, they get in people's faces — and then they clutch their pearls when anyone on our side raises their voice at a school board meeting.
Rep. Luna isn't backing down, either. She's not doing the typical politician thing where you issue a strongly worded statement and then move on. She's pressing charges. As reported by Carlos Garcia at Blaze News, Luna is going the legal route, and she's got the receipts — literally on video.
This is how you handle it. You don't tweet about it and hope the news cycle does the work. You file charges. You make them answer for it in a courtroom, not on MSNBC where some sympathetic anchor can frame Benjamin as the real victim.
And mark my words — that's exactly what the media will try to do. They'll find some way to make Luna the villain. "Republican congresswoman weaponizes legal system against elderly activist." You can practically write the CNN chyron yourself.
But the tape doesn't lie. It never does. That's why these people hate cameras — unless they're the ones holding them at a protest.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Welcome to accountability, Medea.
