President Trump sat down with NBC's Kristen Welker in Wisconsin over the weekend and did what every American has fantasized about doing to a hostile journalist — he told her the network was crooked, called it quits, and walked away while the cameras were still rolling. Imagine thinking that's a persuasive argument to Donald Trump. You flew coach to the Midwest, Kristen. The man dodged two assassination attempts. I think he's going to survive your disappointment.
Trump fired back without missing a beat: "I sat in the rain with you for an hour, on and off in the rain." Translation — I gave you more than you deserved and you still came at me sideways.

And it's happening again right now in California," he said. "There's a lot of evidence. There's tremendous evidence. There's nothing but evidence." We see a president who refuses to sit there and be lectured by people who spent four years covering for a man who couldn't find the exit of a stage.
